Thirteen special events, thousands of new friends, millions
of old memories and another 100 years to look forward
to … Those are exciting numbers! As the centennial
year of The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston
comes to am end, I realize that we honored our school
the right way - in every way.
We honored our school with joy through reunions, celebrations
and ceremonies. We honored our school with education
through visits from renowned researchers and practitioners.
We honored our school with purpose through trips to
the state capitol and a day of charity dental care for
the needy. And finally, even in the midst of sorrow,
we honored our school with assistance for victims of
perhaps the greatest natural disaster in recent history.
These moments, and so many others, tell more than
just the story of this year, they provide a glimpse
of what The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston
has stood for in its first century. Thank you for helping
to make this year a successful celebration in every
way.
