Dean Flaitz congratulates faculty

Catherine M. Flaitz, D.D.S., M.S., dean of the UT Dental Branch applauds Dental Branch faculty who have recently excelled in their careers.

• Nadarajah Vigneswaran, B.D.S., D.M.D., associate professor of Diagnostic Sciences, was awarded tenure on the Clinician Educator Pathway.
  
• James W. Wilson, D.D.S., promoted to associate clinical professor on the non-tenure Clinical Educator Pathway.
  
• Mark E.K. Wong, associate professor and chairman of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, awarded tenure on the Clinician Educator Pathway.
  

UT Health Science Center shines green light

Congressman Al Green, District 19, turned on the “Green Light for Healthy Living,” Saturday, May 21. And The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston was ready to go in support of this first-time health fair.

The UT Dental Van joined several other community service agencies at the fair to conduct screenings and distribute information. The UT Dental Branch was represented by the following faculty, staff and students:

Tracey Godwin, D.D.S., dental van director; Pat Henshaw, driver/dental assistant; Maria Martinez, dental assistant and students Souzan Kazemyan, Payal Patel, Brandon Fleshman, Nielo Chow, Dath Collins and Michael Stevens.
