White coats welcome future dental professionals

The UT Dental Branch will welcome a new wave of budding dentists and dental hygienists this week with the traditional white coat ceremonies. The ceremony for dental hygiene students will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, DB Room 207. D.D.S. students will receive their coats at 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 13, DB Room 207 . We wish the newest members of our family well wishes in their pursuit of quality dental education with us.

Centennial Tribute Dinner gets more guests

Ten lucky members of the DB family won tickets, worth $125 each, to attend the UTDB Alumni Association Centennial Tribute Dinner, Saturday, Aug. 13, at The Houstonian Hotel. Dean Catherine M. Flaitz, D.D.S. and her office sponsored the mass ticket purchase and conducted a random drawing. The winners are:

Retirement reception for Jan C. Brunn

The Department of Endodontics invites everyone to attend a retirement reception honoring Jan C. Brunn, senior research associate, 3-4 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24, DB Room 375. Brunn has served at the Dental Branch for 22 years.
