Janet Grobe Hood, D.D.S., clinical assistant professor in
Restorative Dentistry, was recently admitted into the University
of Houston Master’s of Health Science program.
Hood says she has always been interested in education, in
how people learn and finding better ways to teach. “There
are so many new discoveries in the field that are fascinating.
This program is a great opportunity that I didn’t want
to pass up.”
Hood said she was prompted to go to back to school because
she never liked the way she was taught. “Someday I wanted
to go back and do it differently. I quickly realized that
just having good intentions and being a good dentist is not
all there is to it.”
