Sheila Koh, D.D.S., associate
professor in Restorative Dentistry, received a Mastership
in the Academy of General Dentistry at the annual
Academy of General Dentistry meeting in Denver in
August.
Achieving mastership is a
professional designation within the Academy of General
Dentistry and reflects a general dentist's ongoing
commitment to provide quality care through continuing
education.
To achieve this distinction
you must have completed a challenging course of hands-on
study in 16 dental disciplines, totaling 600 hours
of continuing education. The Mastership in the Academy
of General Dentistry is the highest distinction that
a member can achieve through the academy’s
continuing education program.
As distinguished as
the honor is, Koh was more focused on others during
her awards ceremony.
“As an educator, I try
to encourage the pursuit of lifelong learning; therefore,
it was even more rewarding for me to see my former
students and residents receiving a Fellowship in the
AGD at this year’s convocation ceremony,” Koh
said. Congratulations, Dr. Koh for such an accomplishment |
