Due to an electrical fire that ignited in an air compressor this afternoon, there is no compressed air available in the building. The burned-out compressor has caused the following: no air available in any of the chair units, no water pressure is available at the chairs, and in most cases, the chair lights will not function. In the second floor bays, the chairs themselves will not function.

All clinics are closed Friday, April 20, except for the following: Oral Surgery, Radiology, Graduate Orthodontics, Graduate Endodontics and Faculty Practice (UT Dentists).

Students should not see any patients, including potential WREB patients for screening in the clinic without faculty supervision. If a patient of record has a true emergency, students should notify their Practice Leader and arrangements will be made to see the patient in the Faculty Practice clinic. Normal functioning of the clinic is anticipated by Monday, April 23.
