The deadline to give feedback about the proposed redesign of the UTDB Web site home page is Friday, Oct. 26. Earlier e-mail included links that were hard to see, so that problem has been fixed. Just visit our Website and click on the images to enlarge them. Afterward, you can give us your feedback via the special link that has been set up for that purpose. Hard copies of the same designs have been posted in the basement (near the bookstore) and on the Fourth Floor near the elevator.

Senior Executive Assistant Sandra Miller keeps the gift log as UTDB Finance Director Joe Morrow (now experienced with baby showers) opens presents during the shower given by his co-workers Oct. 17.
The baby, Joseph Kenneth Morrow, arrived a little earlier than expected, so he and his mom, Sarena, were still in The Methodist Hospital during the event. The baby was born Oct. 16 weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces and measuring 18 ˝ inches long. |

For the second consecutive year, the UT Dental Branch’s Delta Upsilon Chapter of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity has won the Province 2 Chapter Excellence Award. This award is given annually to one chapter in each of the five provinces and is based on chapter growth, alumni support and service activities. Only a few years ago, local chapter membership was very low, but thanks to the efforts of present junior and senior members, the UTDB chapter is now one of the largest Psi Omega chapters in the nation.
Recent local activities included a blood drive, assisting at the Dental Branch’s “Give Kids a Smile Day,” and, in February, volunteering for the Texas Mission of Mercy in Dallas. Several members also worked with American Student Dental Association representatives in Washington, D.C. on important dental issues affecting both dental students and dental practitioners.
