Yue is finalist in AADR Student Research Group Competition

Second-year dental student Jireh Yue has been selected to compete in the Basic Science category at the 2012 American Association for Dental Research (AADR) Student Research Group DENTSPLY/Caulk Competition March 21 in Tampa, Fla. His research mentor was Isabel Gay, DDS, MS, assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. Each student is required to present a poster during the AADR General Poster Session and must also make a 10-minute presentation to a student panel of judges. Winners will be chosen in each category (Basic Science and Clinical Science) and announced the evening of March 21. Cash prizes and plaques will be awarded.

To prevent conflict of interest and to allow for objective review, names and dental school affiliations were removed from abstracts before they were reviewed by the national Student Research Group officers.
