The Collaborative Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program will host a workshop on “Licensing Technologies: University and Industry Perspectives” from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 at the Denton A. Cooley, MD and Ralph C. Cooley, DDS University Life Center, 7440 Cambridge St.

This workshop will explore various aspects of license terms, agreements and technology transfer. Dr. Bruce Butler, vice president of research and technology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) will talk about technology transfer. Natalie Wright Curley, JD, from UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, will provide an overview of licensing agreements. And a panel comprised of CEOs from start-up companies will provide perspectives on licensing university intellectual property.
This event is for faculty members from UTHealth, UT Medical Branch and MDACC interested in understanding licensing agreements and learning about what industry is seeking.
The workshop series is presented by The Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences, the UTHealth Office of Technology Management and UTMB Office of Technology Transfer. This program is supported by a grant from UT System.
