UT Police Seek Donations for Children’s Gift Drive

The University of Texas Police Department is collecting donations of new, unwrapped gifts to share with juvenile/pediatric patients at Harris County Psychiatric Center and LBJ Hospital. Gifts will be collected through Dec. 15. 

 Donation boxes at the School of Dentistry are the following locations: Suite 5.330 (General Practice and Dental Public Health/Kathleen Henshaw); Suite 6130 (Office of Continuing Education/Kassie Broussard); and at the guard station in the Elliott Lobby (first floor).

Suggested gift items include:

FOR PERMANENT USE IN PEDIATRIC UNITS
Crib mirrors, crib activity centers, coloring books, crayons, puzzles, board games, Play-Doh 

GIFTS FOR INDIVIDUALS
Infants and toddlers: Rattles, booties, blankets, crib toys, music boxes, squeeze toys, balls and books

Preschool (2-5 Years): Board games (Candy Land, Memory, Chutes & Ladders), dolls, cars, stuffed animals, puzzles, books, musical and talking toys, coloring books

School Age (6-12 Years): Magna-Doodle, Legos, card games, action figures, electronic games, puzzles, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, board games (Checkers, Sorry, Monopoly, etc.), watches,  books, jewelry

Adolescents: Grooming items, wallets, jewelry, watches, diaries, puzzles, card games, board games, books, music/CDs, craft, socks, T-shirts, model kits, electronic games
