The American Association of Endodontists has awarded its highest honor and lifetime achievement award to Samuel Dorn, DDS, chairman of the Department of Endodontics at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston.
The Edgar D. Coolidge Award – which recognizes leadership and exemplary dedication to dentistry and endodontics – was presented to Dorn at the AAE’s 2013 Annual Session in Honolulu in April.
For almost 40 years, Dorn has practiced and taught endodontics, becoming a leader in the profession through extensive involvement with and commitment to organized dentistry. He is currently president-elect of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations and serves on the board of trustees for the AAE Foundation. Read more
ADA President to Speak at May 24 Graduation
American Dental Association President Robert Faiella, DMD, MMSc, will be the keynote speaker for the School of Dentistry's graduation ceremony May 24.
The president of the American Dental Association, Robert A. Faiella, DMD, MMSc, will deliver the keynote address at the 2013 graduation ceremony for The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. The event begins at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24 in Cullen Performance Hall on the University of Houston main campus.
Faiella is a
diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a fellow of the
American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the
Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American Academy of Dental Science and the
International Team for Implantology. Read more
