Dr. Anna Maria Salas, D.D.S., M.S. earned her DDS (1988) at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and MS (1996) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Salas is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists and serves as Clinical Associate professor with the graduate Orthodontic department at the University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston. Also, she is the director of the predoctoral orthodontic program. Dr. Salas is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and Southwestern Society of Orthodontics.

Dr. Salas has been teaching in the graduate orthodontic department at UTDB since 1996. She is the course director on the following courses:

• Growth and development
• Orthodontics
• Clinical Orthodontics

Dr. Salas is very dedicated and committed to teaching the Orthodontic residents, as well as, the dental students. Dr. Salas is caring for her patients in her private practice where she specializes in Orthodontics for children and adults.
