Dr. Fred A. Garrett, D.D.S., M.S. earned his D.D.S., (1958) and
M.S. (1963) degrees at Washington University School of Dentistry,
St. Louis, MO. He is board certified by the American Board of
Orthodontists and is a clinical professor with the graduate orthodontic
department at the University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston.
Dr. Garrett is a former President of the Southwestern Society
of Orthodontists and received the Society's Martin E. Dewey Distinguished
Service Award in September 2002. He is an active member of the
American Association of Orthodontists and received their James
E. Brophy Distinguished Service Award in May 2002. Dr. Garrett
has been on the board of directors of the American Association
of Orthodontists Foundation since 1993 and currently serves as
their National Campaign Chairman. He is a Fellow in the American
College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Garrett
has been teaching in the graduate orthodontic department at UTDB
since 1968. He has served as interim program director and interim
department chairman. He lectures extensively on the following
topics:

Temporomandibular joint dysfunction, diagnosis, TMD splint construction

Dr. Garrett
is very dedicated and committed to teaching the orthodontic residents
and treating orthodontic patients in the clinic. |
