Description:

The Priest Grinder was intended to accommodate many of the most popular semi-adjustable articulators of the day, such as the Hanau H (pictured) and the Wadsworth . The power source for the grinding assembly of this device was probably a bench lathe attached to the large pulley wheel. The grinding assembly attaches to the incisal pin producing a horizontal elliptical motion. The condylar and incisal controls are preset and provide the “anatomical” component of the motion.
