Ms. Allaire has been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene since 2007. She graduated from UTSD in 1978 with a certificate in dental hygiene and obtained her BSDH from UTSD in 2007. She currently teaches Periodontology as well as being a clinical instructor in all pre-clinical and clinical courses. She received the Lorna Bruning award for outstanding teaching in 2010. Ms. Allaire is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association and the Greater Houston Dental Hygienists' Society where she has held numerous leadership positions.

Ms. Allaire has over 30 years experience as a dental hygienist including 14 years in a periodontal practice. Ms. Allaire has just completed coursework for a Masters in Dental Hygiene through The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and is working on her capstone project with plans to graduate in May, 2012.
