• 11/03/2009 Caries: It’s Not About Black and Whitec: 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Room 340, DBB. Associate Professor Kenneth Abramovitch, D.D.S., will present new information on viewing and managing digital images, and will offer tips on viewing them through MiPACS. This program is first in a series of quality assurance and risk management workshops. It will be offered again from noon to 12:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9 in Room 340. • 11/07/2009 American Heart Walk: 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston. UT Health Science Center at Houston President Larry R. Kaiser, M.D., and Dental Branch Development Director John Greer are co-chairs of the UTHSC effort. Join the Heart Walk and become a team captain, walker or volunteer. • 11/20/2009 UTHSC-H Research Day 2009: ““Engines of Discovery” at the Fayez S. Sarofim Research Building of The Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases. The event will include a faculty seminar followed by student and postdoctoral poster presentations. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the session.
• 12/09/2009 Dental Hygiene Information Session: 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9 in Room 132 at the UT Dental Branch, 6516 M.D. Anderson Blvd., Houston.
