Texas Dental Association's Legislative Day

Representatives of the Dental Branch discussed important issues in dentistry with state representatives and senators during the Texas Dental Association’s Legislative Day Feb. 23.

Members of the Dental Branch family boarded a bus chartered by the Greater Houston Dental Society and traveled to Austin to help educate legislators about dental health care needs in Texas. Plans for a new dental school building, the modification of the dental assistant education bill and a restoration of dental care to low income children through the Children’s Health Insurance Program were a few of the topics discussed.
