"The functions of the Committee on Committees shall be to advise the Dean, Administrative Council and Senate concerning the efficacy of the committee structure and, at least annually, submit to the Dean a slate of nominees to fill vacancies on all standing committees except as otherwise provided by the Bylaws of the Faculty Senate of the Dental Branch.  The Committee shall institute and administer uniform procedures for the election of Senators and other formal elections within the Dental Branch and shall propose at least one nominee for each elected position not otherwise covered by these Bylaws.  This committee shall be chaired by the Immediate Past President of the Senate and charged by the Senate."

Committee Charge

• Evaluate annually the suitability of each standing committee, its charge and effectiveness and make appropriate recommendations to the Dean and Faculty Senate
• Submit to the Dean nominees for appointment to all standing committees
• Submit to the Senate nominees for appointment to the Ad Hoc Merit Review Committee
• Review the Dental Branch Bylaws and make recommendations as appropriate to the Senate
• Institute uniform procedures for elections
• Conduct ballot elections for representatives to the Dental Branch Senate, UTHSCH Interfaculty Council and other committees or task forces as necessary
• Develop a list of nominees, with a minimum of two nominees for each position, to present to the Faculty Assembly whenever an election of a representative(s) to external committees or organizations is required
• Maintain a Procedures Manual for the operations of all Dental Branch Standing Committees
