"The purpose of this committee, which shall be charged by the Senate, shall be to enhance development of Dental Branch faculty by identifying and/or establishing development opportunities. It shall also solicit, review and nominate faculty for development leave."

Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Committee Charge

• Establish procedures for objectively and systematically evaluating the quality and appropriateness of care and service provided in the Dental Branch clinics.
• Determine the cause(s) of care and/or service deficiencies when they are identified and make recommendations for improvement.
• Perform reviews of various clinical areas to identify strengths and weaknesses in quality of care.  Make recommendations for correction of weaknesses and how strengths may be extended to other areas.
• Evaluate dental chart audit procedures and make recommendations.
• Evaluate patient exit interview procedures and make recommendations.
