2005 - 2006 Research Committee

Purpose as stated in the UTDB Bylaws

The purpose of this committee, which shall be charged by the Senate, shall be to encourage and facilitate research at the Dental Branch.

Committee Charge

• provide counsel to the Associate Dean for Research on sustaining and enhancing the research infrastructure at the Dental Branch
• foster basic, clinical, and educational research by faculty, staff, and students
• solicit and assist in evaluating applications for pilot project funding
• assist in evaluating proposals for student research fellowships
• make recommendations to the Associate Dean for Research for senior dental student awards in recognition of oustanding efforts in reseach
• assist in the planning and execution of formal research-related activities at the Dental Branch
