2009 - 2010 Credentialing Committee

Purpose as stated in the UTDB Bylaws

The purpose of this committee, which shall be charged by the Dean and reports to the Dean and Senate, shall be to review and make recommendations in professional liability matters and for professional credentialing.

Committee Charge

• Establish qualifications (education, training, experience, performance) of clinical faculty
• Review clinical faculty privileges based on predetermined departmental criteria, i.e., clinical procedures, which faculty may perform or supervise in the Dental Branch and extramural clinics.

Committee Structure

• The Ex Officio members are the Director of Quality Assurance, Associate Dean for Educational Research and Professional Development and Associate Dean for Patient Care.
• There are no Student Members on the Credentialing Committee.
