2009 - 2010 Outcomes Assessment Committee

Purpose as stated in the UTDB Bylaws

The purpose of this committee, which shall be charged by the Dean and reports to the Dean and  Senate shall be to manage continuous outcomes assessment of the Dental Branch Institutional Mission, Goals and Objectives.

Committee Charge

• To coordinate the outcomes assessment process with the appropriate individuals and committees
• To identify measurable assessment activities for institutional objectives
• To assess the progress and achievement of institutional goals by monitoring and verifying assessment activities in a timely manner
• To report the results from the assessment process and accompanying recommendations to the faculty and staff in a timely manner

Committee Structure

• The President and President-elect of the Faculty Senate are regular members of the Outcomes Assessment Committee.
• The Ex  Officio members are the Associate Dean for Educational Research and Professional Development, Associate Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Associate Dean for Research and Executive Vice Dean.
• The Student Members include one representative from the 3rd Year Dental class and one representative from the 4th Year Dental class.
