ATTENTION THIRD-YEAR STUDENTS

 

 

The Department of Basic Sciences,

U.T. – Houston Dental Branch

 

is pleased to announce the availability of the

 

Dr. Donald Charles Kroeger

Student Research Scholarship

 

A $1,000 scholarship award will be made to a dental student upon beginning his/her fourth year of study at the Dental Branch, for unrestricted use.

 

All third-year students meeting the following criteria for the award are invited to apply:

 

·        An excellent academic record with an equally excellent record in basic science courses;

·     The recipient will be actively engaged in an approved research project during the fourth year of dental school (preference given to applicants with research projects related to pharmacology); Include a short (1 page) description of the research goal and how it would be achieved.

·       A completed Scholorship application and checkoff form

·       Two letters of recommendation from Dental Branch faculty members familiar with the applicant’s academic record. 

 

Third-year dental students who desire to be considered for this scholarship award should contact Dr. Vahn A. Lewis, Chair, Scholarship election Committee, for an application form
