Communications with NMS should
be directed to the Toronto office where possible. In
particular, all paper correspondence sent by mail or
delivery service to NMS ultimately must reach the Toronto
office, and therefore will be received and processed
sooner if it is sent directly to the address in Toronto.
However, if you cannot call or send faxes to Canada
(e.g., some VA and federal institutions impose restrictions
on calling outside the U.S.) you should use the phone
and fax numbers for NMS in New York.
Admission Requirements
To apply for the program, an
applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
- Must have passed Part I, National
Dental Board Examination. Candidate must pass Part
II of the NDEB before enrollment into the program.

Preference is given to applicants
who have graduated from an ADA accredited dental school

who do not fulfill this criterion, the following additional
requirements are placed in order to apply:
- Must have passed both Part
I and Part II, National Dental Board Examination

Graduates from non-ADA accredited schools may be required to complete this school’s minimum 6-month Preceptorship in General Dentistry to apply for the Program. Questions on this may be directed to the Program Director. Furthermore, completion of the Preceptorship does not guarantee admission to the Graduate General Dentistry Programs. Information on the Preceptorship is available from the Office of Continuing Education.
Must have taken the TOEFL exam
if their dental education was not obtained at an English
speaking institution. TOEFL scores are to be reported
and included with the PASS application.
