This tutorial will serve as a guide through the Netscape Messenger Express web-based email system available through the the University of Texas-Houston Office of Academic Computing. 

Checking email via the web allows access from any location where  the Internet and a current web browser are available.  Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer will both successfully view web-based email.  You must use a current version of these web browsers and you must have "java" enabled in the browser in order for the software to work properly.

The following tutorial will be presented in two windows: a separate instruction window and a browser window. Some repositioning and resizing of the browser window and tutorial instruction window will be necessary for easy side-by-side viewing. You can also print the instruction window pages if desired.
