Refer to the section entitled DB Procedures for Gaining Promotion & Tenure in the Dental Branch Faculty Handbook for information on obtaining faculty promotions. The promotion process has been designed in such a manner that all promotions are identified in time for inclusion in the budget for the next fiscal year. No Personnel Action Request forms are required for faculty promotions. At the present time, there is no salary increase specifically attached to a faculty promotion. However, this is one of the factors taken into consideration in the annual merit review process and could be a factor in equity considerations.
