The position of Chair, Department of Endodontics

Description:
The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston is seeking
nominations and applications for the position of Chair, Department
of Endodontics. The Department of Endodontics has both predoctoral
and postdoctoral graduate endodontic programs. The Chair of the
Department is responsible for directing the teaching mission at
the predoctoral and postdoctoral levels, as well as the development
and guidance of research and scholarly activity by residents and
faculty within the department. A record of research productivity
and external research funding, or the promise of future research
funding, is highly desirable. Demonstration of leadership in all
of these areas of responsibility is required. Candidates must
have a DDS/DMD degree and must have completed postgraduate education
in endodontics in a program recognized by the Commission on Dental
Accreditation of the American Dental Association. The candidate
must be Board-certified or Board-eligible by the American Board
of Endodontics. This is a full-time, tenure-track position at
the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Excellent research
development packages are available to those who qualify.
The Dental Branch is located in the heart of the Texas Medical

| Description: The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston invites applications for a full-time Associate or Full Professor, tenure-track or clinical educator (non-tenure) track position as the Director of the School of Dental Hygiene within the Department of Periodontics. The successful candidate will provide leadership and management of the Dental Hygiene program and will teach in didactic, preclinical, and clinical courses; to include integration of the dental hygiene curriculum with the Periodontics curriculum of the undergraduate and graduate dental programs. Time will be provided for research/scholarly activity and a faculty practice opportunity within the school is available. Applicants must hold a master’s degree in dental hygiene, education, or related field. Previous administrative experience, a doctorate level degree, and experience with online based teaching is highly desirable. The candidate must hold a current Texas dental hygiene license or be eligible to obtain a dental hygiene faculty license in the state of Texas.
