Dr. Storthz joined the Dental Branch in 1984 after completing her post-doctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.  Her Ph.D. degree in Microbiology and Immunology was granted by Louisiana State University Heath Science Center in New Orleans, LA.  Dr. Storthz has served as Associate Dean for Research at the Dental Branch for 13 years and has had a continuously funded research laboratory for 23 years.
