Summer Enrichment Program

Applications for The University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center Dental Branch Summer Enrichment Program are now available.  The application deadline is March 1, 2007. Purpose:

The Summer Enrichment Program is designed to introduce college students to the dental school environment and curriculum and to prepare student for the application/interview process.

The participants will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in a unique academic program similar to dental school;
• Enhance interview skills using simulated interview with faculty;
• Improve study skills and test-taking skills
• Interact with Dental Branch faculty and student mentors;
• Participate in a Kaplan DAT preparation course;

Eligibility:

To be eligible for consideration as a participant, a candidate must be:

• A sophomore or junior at the time of application;
• Have an overall GPA of 3.0;
• Have completed at least 12 hours in a science discipline; and
• Have completed at least 4 hours of Organic Chemistry;
